The Eastern Upper Peninsula Regional Planning & Development Commission, also known as Region 11, serves Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac Counties as one of fourteen regional planning and development organizations in the State of Michigan. Established in 1968 as a multi-county organization to pool resources for the assistance of local governments in the region.
The mission of the Eastern U.P. Regional Planning & Development Commission is to promote a sustainable, high quality of life through the facilitation of sound planning and decision making. The EUPRPDC is committed to facilitating the development of intergovernmental cooperation and coordination within our region and with our neighboring regions.
The EUPRPDC specializes in providing data, information, maps and technical assistance for planning and grant writing in Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac Counties. The major program areas include economic development, transportation, arts and cultural affairs, community planning and natural resource protection.
